چکیده

As an alternative to powder-bed based processes, metal parts can be additively manufactured by extrusion additive manufacturing. In this process, a highly filled polymer filament is deposited and subsequently debindered sintered. Choosing proper orientation of the part that satisfies requirements debinding sintering processes crucial for successful manufacturing process. To determine optimal debinding, first, must scaled in order compensate sinter induced shrinkage. Then, finite element analysis performed verify maximum stresses due dead load do not exceed critical stress limits. ease selection approach on open source software shown article efficiently part’s during debinding. This automates scaling, simulation, postprocessing all six main directions. The presented automated simulation framework examined three application examples provides plausible results technical context example parts, leading more robust designs reduction experimental trial error. Therefore, useful tool product development process applications.

Mechatronic Design for an Extrusion-Based Additive Manufacturing Machine

3D printers, especially in the implementation of innovative extrusion processes which do not have a long history of development, are often built by adapting mechanical designs, drives and controls previously developed for generic machine tools. This is done through a process of choice and integration which is based principally on empirical criteria and taking into account separately the differe...

A Novel Extrusion-based Additive Manufacturing Process for Ceramic Parts

An extrusion-based additive manufacturing process, called the Ceramic On-Demand Extrusion (CODE) process, for producing three-dimensional ceramic components with near theoretical density is introduced in this paper. In this process, an aqueous paste of ceramic particles with a very low binder content (<1 vol%) is extruded through a moving nozzle at room temperature. After a layer is deposited, ...
